HYPERDRIVE DESIGN | Concept

The HYPER DRIVE DESIGN concept comprises a combination of different manufacturing techniques, which considerably improve the functioning and the lifespan of a baitcasting reel.

HYPER ARMED HOUSING – a distortion-proof metal frame (magnesium, aluminum) that permanently houses the gear unit in a safe way within the reel body.

HYPER DOUBLE SUPPORT – the pinion gear is mounted via each a ball bearing at both sides, leading to a better and more even power transmission from the handle. The surface of the pinion gear is specially treated to prevent electrostatic corrosion.

HYPER TOUGH CLUTCH – the clutch mechanics have been optimized to remain safely in their position also at hard casts.

HYPER DRIVE DIGIGEAR – the gear is further strengthened by larger teeth in the traction wheel but offers nevertheless a very smooth and round functioning due to a special manufacturing procedure.

UTD® | Drag System

The UTD (Ultimate Tournament Drag) System includes impregnated drag discs, which are about 30 times more durable than normal discs. The effective drag power is considerably increased compared to normal drag systems. An additional advantage is the reduced start-up resistance - the drag starts working, when the adjusted drag power is reached and drags smoothly and steadily.

The Ultimate Tournament Drag ensures a perfect interaction between drag control, drag power and super-soft drawing of the line.

SV BOOST | Drag Concept

The SV BOOST drag concept optimizes the casting distances while reducing the threat of backlashes at the same time. The reel setting is pre-configured which eliminates the need to adjust the mechanic drag. This comprises the following technical details:

• The extremely lightweight G1 Duralumin spool instantly starts without high starting resistance. Smaller lures can be casted in a highly convenient manner.
• The ZERO ADJUSTER of the mechanic drag is preset in a way that leads to optimal casting distances. (it is recommended not to change this setting)
• The ZERO SHAFT is made of an extremely short spool axis that causes low friction and instant starting of the spool upon casting. Perfect for smaller lures.
• The TWS™ system reduces line friction during the cast
• For finetuning the magnetic drag is adjusted according to the used lure weight. This leads to reduced backlashes and an optimized casting performance. In comparison to the SV concept the magnetic drag comes into play during the final phase of the cast.

TWS® | Line Guide

The TWS T-Wing System solves an age old problem with level wind systems. The normal change of angle of from spool to line guide retards line release and slows the casting momentum of the lure.

With TWS, when engaged for casting, the line guide drops to expose the "T" aperture of T-Wing. This allows line to flow freely through the wide top section on outcast, reducing the normally sharp angles and resulting friction that slow line flowing through a standard narrow aperture.

For retrieve, the line guide, now in the original position, controls the line drops via the narrow, lower channel of the T-Wing. This delivers even distribution across the spool width.
