The Zillion bait cast reel is now also available in a larger 150-size version for heavier lures. The Mag-Z Boost drag system maximises casting distance while reliably preventing backlash during the initial high-speed phase of the cast. Braking force is gradually reduced during flight for a stable trajectory before the inductor retracts almost completely near splashdown. This allows the spool to rotate almost without resistance during the final third phase of the cast – giving the lure an extra boost in distance and a flatter trajectory. Ideal for powerful overhead casts with heavier lures. The 36mm spool is suitable for thicker lines and accommodates 125m of 0.33mm line. The Double Stopper construction, combining Infinite stopper and a mechanical stopper, ensures reliable performance even under cold conditions or heavy loads. The Hyper Drive Design securely supports the machined Hyper Drive Digigear for perfect power transmission. The Hyper Double Support provides a nearly frictionless pinion gear engagement for an outstanding smooth rotation and direct cranking power. The Hyper Tough Clutch is designed to prevent unexpected kickbacks even for extremely powerful casts. With drag release clicker. Ideal for lures from approx. 14g to 100g.
The HYPER DRIVE DESIGN concept comprises a combination of different manufacturing techniques, which considerably improve the functioning and the lifespan of a baitcasting reel.
HYPER ARMED HOUSING – a distortion-proof metal frame (magnesium, aluminum) that permanently houses the gear unit in a safe way within the reel body.
HYPER DOUBLE SUPPORT – the pinion gear is mounted via each a ball bearing at both sides, leading to a better and more even power transmission from the handle. The surface of the pinion gear is specially treated to prevent electrostatic corrosion.
HYPER TOUGH CLUTCH – the clutch mechanics have been optimized to remain safely in their position also at hard casts.
HYPER DRIVE DIGIGEAR – the gear is further strengthened by larger teeth in the traction wheel but offers nevertheless a very smooth and round functioning due to a special manufacturing procedure.
ATD® | Drag System
ATD (Automatic Tournament Drag) stands for the further development of the UTD drag.
The ATD drag is excelled by an even more delicate drag transition and as a consequence thereof is perfectly suited for the use of braided lines.
Contrasting to the UTD drag, at the ATD already at the beginning of a strike the drag starts smoothly, then increases to its pre-set drag rating in a fraction of a second, thus eliminating line breakage at the strike.
TWS® | Line Guide
The TWS T-Wing System solves an age old problem with level wind systems. The normal change of angle of from spool to line guide retards line release and slows the casting momentum of the lure.
With TWS, when engaged for casting, the line guide drops to expose the "T" aperture of T-Wing. This allows line to flow freely through the wide top section on outcast, reducing the normally sharp angles and resulting friction that slow line flowing through a standard narrow aperture.
For retrieve, the line guide, now in the original position, controls the line drops via the narrow, lower channel of the T-Wing. This delivers even distribution across the spool width.
CRBB® | Ball Bearings
CRBB is short for Corrosion Resistant Ball Bearings and means salt-water-proof, stainless ball bearings.
CRBB ball bearings feature an 12 times higher corrosion resistance than usual ball bearings.
